We had a romantic escape and enjoyed the stunning countryside and stunning views just a walk away. the authentic building was comfortable, clean, and authentic. the traditional meals were excellent, and we appreciated the generous opening times of the restaurant for breakfast.
The lack of options after 8:30 pm was a downside, and we would have appreciated some snacks or late-night options. the level of English of the staff occasionally made communication difficult.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were spacious, quiet, and impeccably clean. The comfortable beds ensured a good night's sleep. The hotel's restaurant offered delicious traditional meals, and we highly recommend trying the unique ice cream flavors for dessert. The location in the beautiful village of Frauenwald was perfect for exploring the Thüringer Wald and nearby attractions like Ilmenau, Weimar, and Gotha.

Located in the heart of the lush Thüringer Wald forest, this traditional hotel boasts a peaceful atmosphere that invites guests to relax and enjoy a beer or a meal in either its cosy restaurant or beer garden. the rooms are spacious, quiet and clean, with comfortable beds and bathrooms. the friendly staff provide excellent service and a delicious breakfast every morning. the stunning views of the valley make this a perfect base for nature lovers.
Some guests may find the location a bit remote, with limited nearby amenities or activities.

The restaurant offered traditional meals which were delicious, and the free coffee and tea were a great touch during off hours. The small village location was picturesque and perfect for walks. the hotel’s parking was large and free.
The level of English spoken by the staff could have been better. the internet was not available in all areas and it was somewhat annoying to have to keep moving around to find a connection, especially considering the higher price of the accommodations.
